Patches of Light

oil 6x6
"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance
of things, but their inward significance, and this, and not the
external manner and detail, is true reality." (Aristotle)
Patches of light: a small phrase
loaded with underlying meaning.
Light draws one in, fills one's darkness,
dances playfully before one's eye.
Light reveals nature's mysteries,

always seductive and captivating.
