Sunday Morning Thunder

oil on linen on board 6 x 8
(Sold)

Spent a lovely week in the Thousand Islands. Did not get to paint very much since I was being a boating diva and tourist in Canada; but did a couple of small pieces at the end of the week . The St. Lawrence River is another attraction for me or shall I say a seductive distraction from my usual existence. This image was painted on a quiet Sunday morning while waiting to go biking. Quiet, that is, until a speed boat came zooming past, kicking its wake and rumbling like a storm. Hence the title.
