Out West

oil on linen 10 x8

Posting may be erratic over the next month as

I have been traveling across country by car the past two weeks. Grandparents and great grandmother have settled into temporary lodging while visiting a new granddaughter. I got to go out to paint after babysyitting yesterday on one of the few days it was overcast.

Denver, usually, gets 300 days of sunshine.

This view is of the foothills to the rockies on a gray day. Daniel's Gate is home to a herd of Buffalo and steer in the middle of a suburban sprawl over what was ranchland.

I love gray days. Color is subdued but complex.
