Still Life: A Garden Lunch

 A Garden Lunch©2010 C.L.Burgess 10 x10 oil on linen $300.

I wanted to try painting peanut butter and jelly but not just by itself. And I love painting containers of all sorts, too. I really enjoyed creating the scenario above. I painted the daffodils then scrubbed them out a bit to create some depth for a still life. I thought about how perfect a small respite from gardening chores a sandwich, fruit and water might be.  I hate elaborate fuss for a meal after hard work in the dirt. What could be easier than this?
Voila. A garden lunch.
