Fresh, cool, living water simply beckons one to dive in. Light play and motion create a desire to act on the part of the viewer. One gets pulled into the surf. Now that is power.
Diane and Suzanne...I especially appreciate your praises. Thanks a bunch, everyone!. This was a difficult painting with those waves...and a good challenge for light. The image captured me so, for that reason...the translucency of the light in the bucket. It was like a jewel shining against the greens of the water and the reds of the skintones. I am glad it lives for you all.

Beautiful how the light is passing through that wave.
What a beautiful job with the waves.
Wonderful surf Cathyann...hope it cools soon!
I love this! The open, airy, beachy feel... I can almost smell the salt air!
My goodness, Cathyann! You've so beautifully captured the color and translucency of these ocean waters. I am absolutely mesmerized!
Wonderful colors and action! Great job.
How that spot of yellow grabs the eye! The waves here today are the opposite of yours: they are not calm and serene but foamy, angry and fast!

Those waves are screaming my name. I love how you captured the water, light and yellow bucket.
