Classy Camellia by Virginia Fine Artist Cathyann Burgess

A Classy Camellia©2013 C.L.Burgess oil on linen panel 8 x 16

Revival # 2   Another facelift painting. This went through lots of phases fruit and flower wise, but the staying power of a classical set up never fails.
Simple geometry sutis the long horizontal panel.
Fruit from the grocer and the camellia from my garden. I like the complementary scheme and textured surface which the original idea did not have. Marrying the classical with a pinch of Impressionism.

Then a thought occures to me...maybe I will slice it in two and make a diptych? Nah....onto something new.

Spring is in the air here...hope it is wherever you are.
Later.

There is no spring here...it's snowing!

I really like this painting. I like the long horizontal composition. I always like your white vase and your flowers and fruit.
