A day late…comparative study demo of landscapes by Cathyann Burgess

Blowing Cold © C.L.Burgess12 x 16 pastel $475 framed

I am a day late with my promise but here it is. The first photo shows the original plein air active piece with the more deliberate painting done beneath. It gives you a sense of size change as well as interpretation. Neither is better than the other per se just a bit different. I had more time to think of depth and direction and focal point the second time around.
Don't they say the second time, "it is lovelier"?  For paintings, too! LOL.

This is framed and showing in Brevard NC this weekend and month at the Transylvania Arts Council winter show Wood Wind Water.
